PURPOSE

Increase the number of NCCP trained Senseis in Nova Scotia as per the strategic plan coach  development portion.

 

ACTION

Reimburse judoka that take the Dojo Assistant and/or the Dojo Instructor course 50% of the cost of their  courses upon completion. This entails doing the classwork, online portion, and evaluation of teaching to  obtain your certification.

TIMELINE

Over the next three years this will be available and subject to renewal with the new board in 2024.  Reimbursement is valid 12 months after the classroom portion is completed, with proof of certification.

REQUIREMENTS TO SUBMIT

Send the following to judonovascotia@gmail.com 

  1. Proof of completion/certification. 

  2. Copy of payment. 

  3. Completed coach incentive reimbursement form. 

  4. Proof of Judo NS approval for reimbursement prior. Email or letter of confirmation. This ensures a budget is available. 

Amendments – Nov 21, 2021

  • Extend program to include ALL NCCP Coach certification levels. 

  • Extend the program to non-NCCP coach certifications and events, such as conferences and  certifications.  

  • Intent to seek reimbursement for a course\event must be submitted and approved by the Judo  NS Executive to ensure it is in line with JNS strategic plan and that funding is available. - Non-NCCP course\certification reimbursement is at the discretion of the Judo NS Executive.  - Reimbursement applies only to net course\event cost to participant. If other funding or  financial support is received, the remaining balance only is eligible.  

  • Reimbursement applies to cost of course only, not expenses such as food, travel, hotels etc.  unless otherwise approved by the Judo NS Executive. 

  • The coach must be a Judo NS member in good standard at the time of the course\event and  certification.
